Hey there!
Well it just had to happen, and yes, it happened to the "Talent." We dropped in numbers. Today we had 66 people, no animals. Last year, we did 80 photos. That is only a 14 person drop, however.
We did have rotten weather today - very gloomy, and after 5pm lots of rain. People said I should not walk to my hotel but I responded, "I'll just say, 'Santa does not want to get wet' and it will stop raining." Well, guess what? It quit raining for the 10 minutes it took ME to walk to the hotel, and as I entered the hotel it began pouring again. The "Talent" still has clout! I am in my room now and I can hear the rain hit the window.
I must admit, even with the rain we had some cute kids come through. But we had a couple of kids that just drove me to make my sleigh bells ring. When I first got in the Big Chair a little girl in a red dress with a white cape/shawl came up to me and then just took off in the other direction. After some major coaxing from her mom and some deal making, the picture finally took place. The mom was just beside herself with excitement because this is the first picture she has of the two of them together.
Another was a toddler about a year old I guessed. After the picture the parents told me that they had their baby's picture taken with me 1 year and 2 weeks ago. Hey, Santa likes a repeat customer...lol
So we have a little ground to make up Friday, but I am confident we can do it.
As you can tell there are a couple of pictures. The one with 2 elves is up because I just wanted you to know that I do have male elves. They are Barry and Don.
The other is of a child and Santa. He wanted to see who's feet were bigger so we went toe to toe (or to be more correct boot toe, and tennis toe)... Mine were bigger! But he was cute.
Thanks for watching!
Santa
